Guards of Atlantis II Player Boards

Guards of Atlantis II
Player Board for Guards of Atlantis II

Guards of Atlantis II is either the best 6 player game ever made according to your friends… or you need better friends. It should be pointed out that we have nothing to do with the ownership, product, distribution or creation of Guards of Atlantis II. We are simply some of its most charming fans. We have played it literally hundreds of times and it is a very good 4 player game, but with 6 players there simply is no better game to play.

Many people play Guards of Atlantis II on Tabletopia using a digital version of the game which works very well, but the game is even better in person around a shared table with a physical copy of the game. The game has some very well crafted mini-figures, the best map of any game ever made (and its available in neoprene) as well as a huge number of opportunities to watch your opponents faces as they struggle to “do the right thing” on their turn thanks to the brilliant rule that players may NOT communicate once cards are flipped up during the active turn. Much of that gets lost when playing digitally. The one Major drawback of in-person play for the game has always been the player board / cards sliding around on the table or making Hero Upgrades hard to see from across the table. More on that later in this post.

If you do not have a copy of Guards of Atlantis II three things are true:

1 – You need to get a copy of the game. No Matter What it Costs. It’s worth it.

2 – These downloadable self-print files will NOT allow you to play without a copy of the game.

3 – We are now secretly mocking you for not having this game yet. It really is THAT good.

Before we show you the free downloadable solution we created, here is a video showing the unboxing of our new game Honor Among Thieves. You should watch this video BEFORE downloading the files to make your own Guards of Atlantis II Player Boards. Think of it the way you would a sit down meeting before buying a time share from a resort… actually don’t think of it that way at all. Think of it as your opportunity to see ANOTHER really great game before solving a flaw in the best game you already own:

The One Major Drawback of the Game Has Now Been SOLVED!

Without any permission, Trevor went ahead and designed this new greatly improved Player Board Frame for Guards of Atlantis II that holds all the upgrade tokens, uses large easy to see tokens to display upgrades and completely solves the sliding around the table issues mentioned previously. We did later show the design to Arty, the designer of Guards of Atlantis II and he replied to tell us we were mistakenly posting in the Off Topic forum of their Guards of Atlantis II Discord but he also did say it: “Looks cool though” – so we will take that as a huge win!
